I'm still not sure why Vancouver got picked to host but I'm behind the games. I really just wish that it didn't mean so much trouble for commute in to work.

Granted I think that most of the issues surrounding these games are nothing new. You just notice them more when it's in your home town.

i wouldn't say it's out of Orwel but I'm not loving it. That's all I'm goign to say about it. I can see that there are quite a few people behind it and I'd rather not upset anyone with my rantings.

At least the olympics lit some fires under some people's asses to get some things done that have needed doign for years. Other than that...I'm still dubious about the olympics.

I like Vancouver. Also, I like the Olympics. I imagine the event must turn whatever city hosts it into a zoo for a while, but I think it bolsters national pride to be able to say the Olympics have been there, and they're a much more respectable display of athleticism than, say, American football.
