I finally found a usable USB cable! Took me long enough, too
Anyway, this is another fanfart piece of East Asian cinema, the film this time being Ying Xiong, known to English speakers as Hero. This was the movie that introduced me to Zhang Yimou's style of filmmaking, and whatignited my growing interest in Wuxia/HK films. I'd never seen such color and emotion used in such a way before I saw it.
I loved the relationship between Broken Sword (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) and Flying Snow (Maggie Cheung). Why is it that Tony and Maggie always seem to make the best onscreen couple? *sigh* The little figure standing on the cliff behind them is Moon (Zhang Ziyi), by the way.
Pencil, watercolor, color pencil (for the border).
Ah~ So that's how it ends. Nice idea to blend all the colors, hey? Gah~ I love Hero~ And while Broken Sword and Snow were pretty cool, I have to say that Sky was my favorite~ I loved the reactions between Broken Sword and Snow in the first scene with the red colors, but maybe the white robes is more fitting?
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
