Artist's Comments

It's been months since my last submission, and this is all I've done since then. It's a quickly-done poster for my university's Japanese film conference that was held this week. It was a great event, and I even recieved a beautiful book on ikebana for my efforts. It feels good to be recognized, I think. :)

They showed some amazing films, most of them old, and I cried during one of them (Ozu's "Tokyo Story" - weep!).

Pencils. Cleanup, text and special effects in Photoshop. Coloring in OpenCanvas.

In Komatsu I took an ikebana class...they said we were the only group to get it...I tried to remember what to do with the flower pens at work and then some person came along and destroyed my efforts :(.

I prefer your watercolour, more dimensions...but I guess for making posters a digital format would be better. And how else could you insert the film strip eh? The camera is so neat, the effects of photoshop, all pretty neat. Nice to see something different. It's very clean...
